- If you are setting up an interBBS league game and created an
- OXNODES.DAT file, you have already chosen a three-digit league ID for
- your league. If people in your league play in more than one league,
- that ID number will prevent packets from the different leagues from
- "colliding."
-
- Another common problem in interBBS games is that distribution time-lag
- can cause packets to show up after an old game is over and a new game
- has begun. Many league coordinators make a practice of switching league
- numbers after every game to manage this problem. With Iron Ox, though,
- you don't need this confusing practice: Iron Ox inserts a special
- identifier into each league packet so it can tell valid packets apart
- from "left-over" packets.
-
- Please select a value between 1 and 255. What value you choose doesn't
- really matter; the only important thing is that if you're resetting the
- game, you choose a value *different* than the one you used last time.
